The 15 Regional Red Team competed at the OVR National Challenge this weekend (February 23 and 24, 2008) with many of the top teams from the highly regarded OVR Region. The team lost a tough power pool match to Maverick 15 Teal (who won the Early Bird Extravaganza in Columbus, OH the previous weekend), defeated the Renaissance 15 National team in the quarterfinals (currently the #3 15 team in the OVR Region) and lost a 3 game semifinal match to the Cleveland Volleyball Club 15-1 team (the #26 ranked 15s team in the country according to PrepVolleyball.com). CVC then defeated Maverick in 2 games in the final.
3rd place out of 24 teams. A great achievement against some very high level competition. Congratulations girls!
